Dinnerladies heading to Blackpool May 13, 2009

Award-winning BBC comedy Dinnerladies is due to head to Blackpool’s Grand Theatre later this month, it has been announced.
Victoria Wood’s show – which took home the gong for Best Comedy at the 2000 British Comedy Awards – will include a number of original cast members, with Andrew Dunn and Shobna Gulati reprising their roles and Tony and Anita respectively.
The play will run at the theatre between May 25th and 30th, meaning fans of the show only have a limited number of chances to book tickets – as well as hotels in Blackpool – to make sure they do not miss out on any of the action.
VisitBlackpool notes: “This hilarious and heart-warming production is also very close to the TV series, but with the added excitement of live performance and some additional script which has never been heard before.”
The stage production has been devised under the close supervision of Victoria Wood and tickets are priced from £16.
