It’s time to dust off those ornaments and scour the attic for hidden treasures as Blackpool plays host to one of television’s most popular programmes.
Antiques Roadshow will film an episode of its 32nd series at Blackpool Tower Ballroom in April.

Some of Britain’s leading antiques and fine arts specialists will be on hand to offer free advice and valuations to visitors.

Geoff Sage, manager of Blackpool Tower, said: “Blackpool Tower is a Grade One listed building – a perfect venue for the BBC to hold the Antiques Roadshow and I’m sure it will lend credibility to a marvellous show and let people see how beautiful the Tower is.

Filming for the popular Sunday evening programme will take place on Friday April 3. The doors open at 9.30 am and close at 4.30pm.

Do you really know what happened in the two World Wars? These are the horrible bits of history your teacher never tells you… Book your tickets now for the amazing and educational Horrible Histories from Birmingham Stage Company with the Frightful First World War and the Woeful Second World War live on stage at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool from Tuesday 3rd March to Saturday 7th March.

Using actors and ground-breaking 3D special effects, this thrilling new adaptation of Terry Deary’s famous books make historical figures and events from the two World Wars come alive on stage and hover at your fingertips!
