Antiques Roadshow heads for Blackpool Tower February 25, 2009

It’s time to dust off those ornaments and scour the attic for hidden treasures as Blackpool plays host to one of television’s most popular programmes.
Antiques Roadshow will film an episode of its 32nd series at Blackpool Tower Ballroom in April.
Some of Britain’s leading antiques and fine arts specialists will be on hand to offer free advice and valuations to visitors.
Geoff Sage, manager of Blackpool Tower, said: “Blackpool Tower is a Grade One listed building – a perfect venue for the BBC to hold the Antiques Roadshow and I’m sure it will lend credibility to a marvellous show and let people see how beautiful the Tower is.
Filming for the popular Sunday evening programme will take place on Friday April 3. The doors open at 9.30 am and close at 4.30pm.
